As a Young Artist
Kat discovered she was an artist at a young age, filling every piece of paper she could with her drawings. She enjoyed all of her art classes in grade school. Kat was the state overall winner for the PTA Reflections contest at the age of 13 and went on to compete at the national level.
Schooling
Kat attended the University of Georgia where she was accepted in the art school program after a portfolio review. She enjoyed her many classes and higher art education with a 4.0 in all of her art courses.
Adult Career
Kat worked in the art therapy field and used her artistic ability to help mentally ill women in prison for 11 years.
She rediscovered her loved for art after Covid and had a career shift.
She enjoys life in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains creating jewelry, natural apothecary products, clothing, and art. She uses her creativity as an outlet for her own mental health and draws her inspiration from nature.
